How the estimate works

For published box coverage, required boxes = round up(project area × (1 + allowance ÷ 100) ÷ coverage per box). For example, 120 ft² with 10% allowance needs 132 ft² of coverage. At 12 ft² per box, the estimate is 11 boxes. At 11 ft² per box, it is 12 boxes.

Without published coverage, the calculator first rounds the required number of tiles up, then rounds the number of boxes up. Mixed units are converted internally. Always check the product’s actual sold package rather than treating an area figure as a cart quantity.
